Program Overview
Duration: 8-12 weeks (depending on your starting level and progress). The ITC course in 20 days
- Divemaster Review (1-2 weeks)
- Refresh and refine your Divemaster-level skills
- SSI Instructor Training Course (ITC) (20 days)
- Intensive training in dive theory, teaching techniques, and SSI standards
- Instructor Examination (IE) (3 days)
- Demonstrate your newly acquired instructor-level knowledge and skills
- Shadowing and Co-Teaching (4-6 weeks)
- Gain real teaching experience under the supervision of experienced instructors
- Specialities and Continuing Education (1-2 weeks)
- Opportunity to earn additional SSI Speciality Instructor ratings
What You’ll Learn

Prerequisites
- SSI Divemaster certification (or equivalent from other agencies)
- Minimum 18 years of age
- At least 100 logged dives (100 recommended)
- Current medical clearance for diving
- Emergency First Response (or equivalent) certification within the last 2 years
